Please note that it is NOT necessary to uninstall the library in most cases to fix common issues with the software, you can safely leave this alone in most cases unless the problem you are having is related to the library content itself. Repairing permissions is, of course, one of the standard approaches for fixing system errors on a Mac, and hopefully most Mac owners soon become aware of that and repair when required, but unfortunately, it doesn't remove corrupted files or files left behind after a partial uninstall.
